IVC Media will equip all the teaching rooms, board rooms and theatres with a high-end AV system from interactive white boards right through to a Crestron control system.
Exeter University's New Facility at its Business School is set to allow the University to increase its already substantial and globally recognised teaching facilities, ready for the next generation of business leaders. IVC Media is designing and building the AV infrastructure to enable the University to realise this vision.
Working closely with the University's consultants and main building contractors BAM, IVC Media is bringing together the traditional AV and IT world to provide an integrated solution which has the capacity to grow with the future requirements of the University's students and its business clients across the globe.
IVC Media will equip all the teaching rooms, board rooms and theatres with a high-end AV system from interactive white boards, video projection right through to large screens and Crestron control system plus all audio, including PA system, hard of hearing loops and radio microphones.
IVC's experience in this area has allowed the company to take the designs from the University's own consultant and working directly with the University's Project Management team, to realise some particularly interesting and innovative ideas for this prestigious project.
This project also has some necessarily demanding timescales. In order to ensure both elements of build and install are completed in the most efficient way possible, with support from the Business School, IVC actually has the development team building and testing the solution at a secure location near the construction site, on the campus.
Being outside the confines of the actual construction site, meant that University staff and students are welcomed by IVC to visit them at work, ask questions and take an interest in how their new state of the art AV systems are assembled.
This also allows IVC to work more closely with the building contractors, to ensure a smooth installation within the six week window available.
The Exeter Business School is set for completion to coincide with the Chinese New Year on 14 February 2011.
